Purcell Auctioneers have been conducting regular Auction Sales for over 38 years in the Birr area. Started by Michael Purcell in 1970, the business is now being run by his sons Conor and Paul both of whom are members of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.

We hold our Sales at our Auction Rooms at Green Street in the heart of the designated Heritage Town of Birr, Co. Offaly.

We are currently finalising our Auction Sale dates for 2010 to include 12 Monthly General Antique Sales along with 4 Specialist Sales spread throughout the year.

Our Regular Monthly Sales comprise of approximately 700 - 800 lots of Antique Furniture, Victorian and Contemporary Art, Books, Jewellery, Clocks, Architectural Items, Traditional Irish Farmhouse Effects and Collectibles.

Our Specialist Sales in 2010 will cover everything from Books to Militaria and Sporting Interest, Horse Carriages and everything of Equine Interest and our Annual Sale of Collector’s Toys, Cars, Dolls and Games.

We normally accept entries for sale right throughout the year however we reserve to right to examine all items before being accepted.

We are also very interested in conducting on site auctions at your own premises for house contents or business clearance purposes.
