Auction of Irish Interest Books, Maps, Posters, Interesting Ephemera etc. to include an entire collection of Irish Historical Interest Books and Research Documentation from the estate of the Late Peter O'Keeffe - former Head of Road Research at An Foras Forbaithe. The sale also includes some books which were the property of Peter's father "Robert (Bob) O'Keeffe" former teacher, renowned hurler and former President of the GAA.

Lot 16(Belfast) Young, Robert M. (editor). The Town Book of the Corporation of Belfast 1613-1816.. with Maps and Illustrations. Belfast, Marcus Ward, 1892. first edition large 8vo. folding birds-eye view, plates, attractive woodcut illustrations, original linen binding with city seal on upper cover, rebacked with original spine relaid. These records of the old Corporation of Belfast are the most important of the very few surviving documents from the early history of Belfast..
Lot 23The Irish Packet, Weekly mag., bound volume Vol 1V, no 79, April 1905 to Vol V, Oct 1905. 30 issues of some 24 pages full of interesting items, both historical and literary, and ads. Vol 1V has 632 pages. Large 4to. It cost a penny a week and ran from 1903 to 1910. Not included in Irish Literary Magazines compendium. Short essay on the weekly included. (1).
Lot 31Kottabos. Trinity College Journal 1869/1893. 12 issues of famous trinity journal with many famous Irish authors contributing over the years. Oscar and William Wilde had their earliest works published during their periods in Trinity. Other famous contributors included J.P. Mahaffy, Starkie and R.Y. Tyrrell. (12).

Special ltd edition of 250 signed copies; this one out of series; bound by Antiquarian Bookcrafts in full dark red morocco; coat of arms of RCSI in full gilt on upper cover; spine embossed in white and red morocco of the barber-surgeon’s pole; gilt edge pages and silk endpapers; in leather silk slip case. Signed by President of RCSI, the authors, designer Liam Miller, Joe Kelly and binder Des Breen. Signatures somewhat marred by water staining and slight water stain on top of one preliminary page. Otherwise an exquisite copy showcasing the best of both Irish scholarship and craftsmanship. Lacks one plate.
