Edwardian Solid Silver Soup Tureen, the lid with an urn-shaped finial and slot for a ladle, with hand-chased half-fluted decoration, applied gadroon borders, two reeded scroll side-handles, and all sitting on a pedestal foot. The finial, lid and main piece are all hallmarked, there is a crest 'Flavante Deo' with a Stag's Head and a Sun above Mountains. Made by Mappin & Webb of Sheffield and Hallmarked for 1903. c. 26cm tall, 40cm wide and weighs c. 2,030grams, c. 71.6ozs.Hammer: €880
