Lot 42Scrap Books: 2 Quarto scrapbooks, one about the 1840's, probably American, mainly filled with engravings plus a few pencil drawings of paces, the other probably compiled about the 1870s-80s with newspaper clippings, verse broadsides, engravings of women in for the time "sexy" poses, pen drawings of women etc., apparently compiled by a British soldier who was in Castebar as tipped in is an engraved notice for a regimental dinner with a manuscript note dated "Castlebar 15th May 1870".
