Kilkenny People Newspaper: Bound volume of the paper for the year 1921. Lacks first and last issued for 1921. As one might expect, this volume provided extensive coverage of the turbulence of that year – the imposition of Martial Law, harassment of local Nationalist figures, the shooting dead of two IRA Volunteers on Friary Street, the burials of Hartley and Mullins, killed at Coolbawn. There is also good coverage of events in other parts of the country courtesy of accounts copied from national papers
