A rare book “IRISHY” (HB) By Joseph Campbell. Published by Maunsel and Company. He was born in Belfast into a Catholic and Irish Nationalist Family. He became a poet and wrote under his Gaelic name Seosamh MacCathmhaoil. He supplied words to My Lagan Love. He took part as a supporter in the Easter Rising. He then translated Padraig Pearse’s Short stories into English. He became a Sinn Fein Councillor in Wicklow in 1921. Later in the Irish Civil War he was on the Republican side and was interned in 1922-23. The book already rare also has a handwritten poem signed in Irish by Joseph Campbell.
