Alfred O’Rahilly, academic, President of UCC 1943-54, and in his later years a priest, spent ten years writing ‘The Crucified’ but left it incomplete when he died in 1969. It is a scholarly treatment of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ and includes an extensively documented account of the Shroud of Turin.
