A large beautiful Oblong folio dedicated album to Assheton Biddulph and his wife dated 23rd June, 1898 designed and illuminated by James McConnell, 41 Lower Sackville St., Dublin. The Album is bound full crimson morocco with a brass mounted stallion in a jumping position on cover. The album consists of thick cardboard watercolour pages of (A) Dedication page to Biddulph & wife with decorative Coat f Arms, fox hunting motifs , Page (B) Fine painting of Biddulph, wife and colleague mounted surrounded by hounds. Pages C D and E. consist of 146 names of friends and hunting colleagues in decorative borders. Biddulph was Master of Fox Hounds of the Ormond Hunt and King's County Hunt 1884-1897 and the King's County Hunt 1897. The drawings, all of which are signed by McConnell are beautifully executed and is probable the finest Co .Offaly dedicated hunting album ever sold in the county

Containing The Ballad of Jane Shore; A Wexford Carol; The Perfect Wife; Thirty Three Triads; Death of a Queen; The Mines of Siberiay; The Loves of Bregog and Mulla; O'Reilly; Irish Elegies; Angel Songs; A Gaelic Alphabet; Moralities. All contained in a custom made wraparound cloth box and quarter calf slipcase. Most of the individual pamphlets were published in editions of only 250, and complete sets are extremely rare.

Michael Hartnett - Culu Ide: The Retreat of Ita Cagney, Folder containing the only known working draft of Michael Hartnett’s’. The Retreat of Ita Cagney / Cúlú Íde which was his first” Irish” poem and considered the finest poem in this period of Hartnett’s writing’. Published in 1975 by the Goldsmith Press. The contents of the folder are as follows. The total and original manuscript of which is contained in ten (10) handwritten pages, with all poems in Michael Hartnett’s hand, pages 9 and 10 also have poems to front and back. All pages contain the editor and publisher Desmond Egan’s notes for formatting into the final publication. Additionally, there are seven (7) sheets of the publishers “mock up” pages for the final publication. A further three (3) pages printed front and back with more notes for publication in Egan’s hand. Six (6) images are also present. Two (2) of which were used for the final published book. A first edition in jacket is also in the folder. Two newspaper clippings featuring Hartnett. The manuscript has been signed by Desmond Egan confirming he edited and published the book for The Goldsmith Press. Copy of Michael Hartnett signature which was omitted from the final publication laid in loosely.

18th Century Prize Binding. An exceptional finely bound History and Antiquities of the City of Dublin from the Earliest Accounts by the Late Walter Harris Esq.. Dublin: Printed for Laurence Flinn in Castle-Street and James Williams in Skinner Row. 1766. FIRST EDITION. Sumptuously bound in mottled red calf, elaborate gilt tooled decoration on front and rear boards, and spine, with central; "Premium" panels. 8vo. Prize was awarded to Hans Delap for his remarkably good answering in the Roman History, January, 1767. Complete with two folding copper engraved maps and 11 engraved plates, of which 8 are folding. A unique item.
