Sir Thomas Phillipps 15th Century Medieval Legal Manuscript - a bound manuscript volume with a note "Phillipps MS 10848" on the lower margin of the first page. The entire, written in Middle French or Law French or similar dialect. The first portion of this volume which contains c.143 manuscript leaves which generally outlines accusations against individuals holding influence over King Edward II, and specifically mentions Hugh le Despenser (The Elder) and his son “Hugh le Despenser le fils (The Younger). Other nobles are mentioned – Count de Lancastre, Count de Rychmund. This section is headed Anno Xlmo which corresponds to the 11th Year of King Eward’s reign, around 1317-1318.
